Survey Manager - Contractor  - Central Interceptor, Auckland

Survey Manager contracted to Ghella-Abergeldie Joint Venture for Auckland WaterCare, 14km tunnelling project.

9 months establishing and refining the project control survey network.

Key deliverables:

• Responsible for overall management, planning, construction, and coordination of the project survey control network for the $1.2 billion, 14.7km long sewer tunnel construction project in Auckland.

• Detailed planning and budgeting for network installation and survey works.

• Management of 3 survey teams for horizontal control coordination and vertical levelling over the 14.7km tunnel length.

• GPS static observations and Total station observations completed on 16 individual tunnel shaft construction sites and all data run through SNAP least squares adjustment survey software.

• Control network reporting and signoff.

• Management of construction surveyors subcontracted to client for civil works on several tunnel shaft sites. Liaising with clients survey and construction managers to ensure favourable and timely outcomes.

Responsible for Survey Management and design verification/remodelling on Downer's largest New Zealand Urban Roading Project.
